Pitchers Ian Hawk and Cooper Mitchell were both named to the South Atlantic Conference All-Tournament Team, the league announced last week.
Coker’s season concluded with the second-place finish in the Catawba Bracket of the SAC Tournament.
Eighth-seeded Coker staved off elimination with a pair of wins, defeating No. 4 seed Mars Hill, 4–1, and No. 5 seed LMU, 11–1.
Coker will play in the elimination game on Saturday at 11 AM at Catawba’s Newman Park against the loser of the game between No. 4 seed Mars Hill and No. 5 seed Lincoln Memorial.
Over 28 games, Alford posted a .336 batting average with 37 hits, 31 RBIs, 12 doubles and seven home runs, while compiling an impressive .636 slugging percentage.

Coker split Friday’s series opening double header against Emory & Henry at Porterfield-DeVault Field. The Cobras took game one, 12-6, and dropped the second game, 8-4.
