Cobras Sweep Tusculum on Senior Day; Earn No. 8 Seed in SAC Tournament
The Cobras claimed a 14-6 victory in game one before closing out the day with a 14-4 win in game two.
HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker University baseball team celebrated Senior Day in style, sweeping both games of a doubleheader against Tusculum University on Saturday at Tom J. New Field at Dave Schmotzer Stadium. The Cobras claimed a 14-6 victory in game one before closing out the day with a 14-4 win in game two.
With the sweep, Coker secured the No. 8 seed in the upcoming South Atlantic Conference Baseball Tournament.
Prior to the first pitch of game one, the program honored its senior class: Peter Adams, Leighton Bost Jr., Jacob Hardy, Jack Clifford, Owen Brockner, and Justin Skinnell.

Coker banged out 15 hits in game one of the DH that included multi-hit games from Colton Penner (3), Dimitri Sabino (3), Peter Adams (3), Luke Alford (2) and Matthew Lipcsey (2).

The Cobras turned around and had an 11-hit game in the second outing with Luke Miller and Peter Adams each recording two-hit games.

Senior Jacob Hardy picked up his second win of the season with a victory in game two. The other four senior pitchers also took the mound in the second game.
