Coker Splits DH with Newberry
The Cobras walked off the Wolves, 14-13, in 12 innings in game one and fell, 6-2, in the second game.
HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Pinch runner Jylien Fray scored the winning run on a basesloaded wild pitch in the bottom of the 12th inning and the Coker University baseball team took game one of the DH against Newberry, 14-13, on Saturday afternoon at Tom J. New Field at Dave Schmotzer Stadium.
Offensively for the Cobras, Luke Alford and Barak Boston launched home runs. Alford's was a three-run blast in the first inning that gave Coker a 4-3 lead and Boston's solo home run in the second inning expanded the lead.
The Cobras fell in the second game, 6-2, despite a solo home run off the bat of Nicholas Badillo in the third inning that gave Coker a 2-0 lead.

Gavin Johnson extended his hitting streak to seven straight games with a pair of hits in both games. He has also hit safely in 18 of Coker's 21 games this season.
