Mark Stewart joined the Coker College women’s soccer staff in August of 2012. He brings a wealth of experience both on and off the soccer field to the program.
A US Army veteran, Stewart is a retired Chief Warrant Officer 5 (Maintenance Tech). He served in the Army for 28 years, receiving an Honorable Discharge in March of 2005.
Stewart has been coaching soccer since 1995 leading youth soccer teams in the range of U13 to U19. He also served as an assistant coach at Columbus State University during the women’s soccer team’s inaugural season in 2004.
In addition to youth soccer, Stewart has coached at the State / District ODP levels both in the States and abroad. Most recently he was the head coach of a German women’s team which won their Division in 2012. He served as Director of Coaching for the Twin Falls Youth Soccer Program with six competitive age groups under his guidance and has also served as a head coach at the high school and junior high levels.
Stewart holds a USSF National “C” license. He has an Associate Degree in Technology and is working toward a degree in Sports Management at Coker.
Mark and his wife Binnie have two daughters – Jessica and Stacey along with five grandchildren – Makayla, Jordan, Paige, Taylor and Noah.
