HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker women's soccer team opens their 2012 home schedule at 11 a.m. on Sunday against Young Harris College at the Coker Soccer Field. The match will be video-streamed and can be viewed for free at www.cokercobras.com.
The Cobras' season official began on Friday on the road at Valdosta State. Coker lost the match 1-0 with sophomore goalkeeper Lizz Morris making 18 saves in the net.
Young Harris began their season on Thursday night with a 3-0 win over King College. Senior Haley Holderfield led the Mountain Lions with two goals.
Sunday's match is the first time Coker has faced-off against Young Harris. Last season Mountain Lions finished the season with a record of 10-7-1. This season the Mountain Lions begin their first full season of NCAA Division II competition in the Peach Belt Conference.
