HARTSVILLE, S.C. – A combined nine goals were scored between Coker and Mars Hill in their women’s soccer match on Wednesday night. Mars Hill won the match 8-1 behind a pair of hat tricks from Miranda Reasoner and Abbey Martin.
Coker’s goal came from freshman Emily Morrow (Columbia, S.C.) off a free kick from 25 yards out. It was Marrow’s second goal of the season.
Along with the combined six goal outpouring from Reasoner and Martin, the Lions had goals from Caity Murnahan and Jamila Walker, with three assists from Salem Woody and three assists from Artivia Martin. Nikki Peet also had an assist for the Mars Hill.
Coker’s Carrie Hudnell (Goose Creek, S.C.) recorded three saves in the match, while Mars Hill goalkeepers Kristin Westerhorstmann and Corrine Roberts combined for the one goal victory.
Coker returns to the pitch on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. to host Conference Carolinas foe Queens University of Charlotte.
