ORANGEBURG, S.C. – Ashley Thompson (Columbia, S.C.) and Jasmine Alston (Sumter, S.C.) combined for 16 points and nine rebounds to lead the Cobras in their 63-34 loss to South Carolina State University on Monday night.

Both players had eight points; while Thompson had a team high five rebounds and Alston had four rebounds.

Coker struggled shooting all night hitting just 29 percent from the floor and just 53 percent from the charity stripe.

The Cobra women will now break for the holidays. They will return to the floor on Monday, January 3 for a Conference Carolinas game against St. Andrews Presbyterian College at home starting at 5:30 p.m.
