Coker Softball Signs Gallman

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College softball coach David Hanna announced today that Ashley Gallman has signed a national letter of intent to play for the Cobras.

Gallman, a third baseman, comes from Edisto High School in Orangeburg, S.C., where she was a three-year starter on the varsity team. Her senior season she compiled a .466 average with three triples, three doubles, 21 RBIs and 15 steals. Gallman was a member of the North-South All-Star game and also plays for an Amateur Softball Association summer team that has qualified for the national tournament.

"Ashley is a talented player at a position of need for us," said Hanna. "We're expecting her to come in and compete for playing time right away."

Ashley joins another family member at Coker, brother Kyle, a senior on the baseball team.
