Sumter, SC-   The Cobras won two matches on Saturday in a double header beating Brevard College 6-3 and Chowan University 9-0.  The Cobras took 2 out of the 3 doubles against Brevard College winning at Numbers 2 and 3.  Then in singles the Cobras took matches at spots 1,4,5, and 6. 

         

With a win early in the day, the Cobras carried momentum going into their second match against Chowan University.  The doubles matches were close, but Coker prevailed winning at all three spots.  Tim Morton at the No.1 spot and Duncan Grew at the No.2 spot; we’re both able to cruise 6-1, 6-0 against their opponents.  Freshman James Schroeder, who played No.3 for the cobras, said that he played the best match of his college career as he won 6-2, 6-1. 

         

The Cobras have a big conference match tomorrow when they face off against Mt. Olive College at 1 P.M.
