Hartsville, SC – Coker Men’s Tennis cruised to their opening CVAC conference win by defeating Belmont Abbey 9-0 at the Coker Tennis Center. The Coker Men were assertive in doubles and dominated at all singles positions for the win.

Tim Morton did not lose a game all day as he teamed up with Tyson Thompson for an 8-0 win at number 3 doubles. He then crushed his opponent 6-0 6-0 at number 3 singles. Hunter Batts was another player not to concede a game as he won comfortably 6-0 6-0 at number 6 singles.

Duncan Grew, Matt Byford, Danny Nash and Dustin Yager all cruised in their respective singles matches for the loss of just three games each. The Cobras move to 3-6 on the season and 1-3 in the CVAC conference. The next match is against Methodist College in Fayetteville, NC, starting at 2pm on Sunday.
