KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Coker men's golf team will be heading into day two of the Kiawah Island Invitational in fourth place, after shooting a team total of 287 (-1) during the first round.
Sophomore Christopher Fuga, posted the lowest individual score of the day for the Cobras, and the second lowest score in the tournament by finishing with a stroke average of 68 (-4). Josh Clay, Nicklaus Kennedy, and Luke Coates each shot a 73 (+1) for the Cobras, while Jake Murphy shot a 79 (+5).
The Cobras are only seven strokes off of the lead position, and are hoping to take momentum into the second round. Coker will tee-off tomorrow (Sept. 18) at 10:50 a.m.
