CLEMMONS, N.C. – The Cobra men’s golf team is in eighth place after the first round of play at the Will Wilson NCAA Southeast Regional Preview at the par 70 Tanglewood Championship Course in Clemmons, N.C.

Coker shot 300 (+20) as a team. UNC-Pembroke (290, +10) leads the field followed by tie for second between Wingate University and Carson Newman College (293, +13).

Matt Kreider (Westlake, Ohio) and Jake Murphy (Hamilton, N.J.) lead the Cobras, each shot four over 74, while Diego Polo (Guatemala City, Guatemala) shot a +5, 75. Jared Crane (Greenville, S.C.) and Ben Conroy (Durham, Conn.) rounded out the field of Cobras, shooting +7, 77.

The Cobras return to the links for the second and third rounds of play on Monday and Tuesday.
