Kiawah Island, S.C. – The Coker golf team completed their first tournament of the fall at the par 72 Cougar Point Course on Kiawah Island Tuesday afternoon, finishing in seventh place with a two day total of 591 (+15). The Cobras five strokes better on their second day of play, but were unable to catch top ranked Georgia College and State who shot 571 (-5).

Leading the Cobras were John LaDow (Pottstown, Pa.) with a one under 71 in the second round and two day total of 146 (+2), followed by Diego Polo (Guatemala City, Guatemala) and Chris Marsh (Georgetown, S.C.) who each shot 149 (+5) for the tournament. Rounding out the Cobra golfers were Jay Goldenberg (Toronto, Ontario) and Patrick Kirby (Paris, Ontario) at 152 (+8) and 153 (+9) respectively.

Coker will now take a break before preparing for their next tournament of the fall on Sept. 19 at the Honda of Columbia Fall Classic hosted by Newberry College.
