HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker men’s basketball team returns home after a three game road stint. The Cobras are looking to continue the success they achieved in their most recent game against Morris College and in the process snap their three game Conference Carolinas losing streak as they take on Lees-McRae College Saturday.

Coker is currently 4-9 on the year and 2-4 in conference play, while Lees-McRae is 3-10 overall and 0-6 in conference play.

The Cobras are coming off a 63-57 non-conference win over Morris College. Liam Kyle (Cleveland, Ohio) led the way in the victory with a 11 point, 15 rebound double-double, while Delonte Doles (Roswell, Ga.) added a team high 13 points.

In their last Conference Carolinas game, the Cobras lost on a buzzer beater to Mount Olive, 79-77. Five players scored in double figures during the game with senior Tom Wright (Sydney, Australia) leading the way with 20 points followed by Vatrick Thompson (Columbia, S.C.) with 15, Joselle Bracy (Ruby, S.C.) and Doles with 12 each and Kyle with 10 points.

Lees-McRae is lead by the tandem of Daniel Sepokas and Adam McFerran who both are averaging more than 15 points per game. McFerran has had a few monster games this year including a 32 point performance against North Greenville on Nov. 18 and a 26 point game against Carson-Newman on Dec.12, while Sepokas scored a unbelievable 41 points in the Bobcats 102-97 overtime loss to St. Andrews on Jan. 15.

The Bobcats are coming off a 61-54 loss to Erskine College in their last game.  The loss continued the Bobcats struggles in Conference Carolina play as they are 0-6 on the year against Conference opponents.  They look to snap that skid Saturday against Coker.

Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 pm at the Timberlake-Lawton Gymnasium in Hartsville, S.C.
