Florence, SC- The Coker College Baseball Team lost their second game of the Gerald Griffin Classic on Saturday, as they fell to the number two ranked Georgia College and State Bobcats 8-2. Coker is now 1-6 on the season.


Coker starter Brad Boob (0-2) took the loss, with fellow Cobras Kyle Strickland, Mikael Owens and Jesse Hatchell, also seeing time on the mound in the game.


Leading the offense was Ben Davidson who finished the game with a solo homer and Coker’s lone RBI on the day, while Trey Lynch was 1-for-4 with an infield single.


The Cobras return to the field tomorrow to face cross town rival Francis Marion in the final game of the classic at 6:00 p.m.
