Baseball

  • This week’s games:
    • Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. (A) – St. Andrews (DH)
    • Friday at 3:00 p.m. (A) – Erskine
    • Saturday at 12:00 p.m. (A) – Erskine (DH)
  • Last week’s games:
    • Newberry – (W) 10-5
    • St. Augustine’s – (W) 7-6
    • Belmont Abbey – (L) 14-8, (W) 5-4, (W) 5-3
  • Last week, the baseball team earned a 2-1 series win over Belmont Abbey, while also picking up a pair of non-conference wins to improve to 27-12 overall and 13-8 in conference play. Currently, the Cobras are in second place in the league standings with just one conference series remaining. They will play Erskine in a three-game set this weekend in Due West, S.C.

Softball

  • This week’s games:
    • Friday – Sunday (A) – Conference Carolinas Tournament in Burlington, N.C. – Springwood Park

  • Last week’s games:
    • Erskine – (W) 2-1, (L) 5-3
    • Carson-Newman – (W) 1-0, (L) 3-0
  • The softball team closed out the regular season portion of its schedule last week by splitting double-headers with Erskine and Carson-Newman. This week the Cobras will travel to Burlington, N.C. for the 2013 Conference Carolinas Tournament. The tournament will be held at Springwood Park starting Friday (Apr. 19) and running until Sunday (Apr. 21).

Men’s and Women’s Tennis

  • This week’s matches:
    • Friday – Sunday (A) – Conference Carolinas Tournament – Sumter, S.C. – Palmetto Tennis Center

  • Last week’s matches:
    • Mount Olive – (L) 8-1 – women, (W) 5-4 – men
    • Wingate – (L) 9-0 – women, (W) 5-4 – men
  • The Coker men captured the program's first ever Conference Carolinas regular season title with a 5-4 win over Mount Olive last week. The victory improved the Cobras to a perfect 10-0 record in league play. The men also closed out their season with a seven-match winning streak. Both teams will head to the 2013 Conference Carolinas Tennis Tournament this week in Sumter, S.C. at the Palmetto Tennis Center. The men will be the #1 seed, while the women will be the #8 seed.

Men’s Lacrosse

  • This week’s games:
    • None
  • Last week’s games:
    • Young Harris (W) – 16-8
    • Lees-McRae (W) – 18-3
  • The men’s lacrosse team picked up two wins last week to close out their season with a three-game winning streak. The Cobras took care of Young Harris, 16-8 and defeated Lees-McRae with ease, 18-3. They finished the 2013 season with a record of 5-10 overall and 1-5 in conference play. 

Men’s & Women’s Golf

  • This week’s tournaments:
    • Conference Carolinas Tournament – April 20-22 at The Challenge Course in Burlington, N.C.  
  • Last week’s tournaments:
    • Mount Olive Spring Invitational – women – 3 of 4, men – 4 of 14
  • Last week the Coker men’s and women’s golf teams played their final tournament before the conference tournament, and both teams brought home Top 5 finishes. This week the Cobras will travel to Burlington, N.C. for the 2013 Conference Carolinas Tournament at The Challenge Course.
