Tillman's 28 leads Coker Past Newberry

NEWBERRY, S.C. – Senior guard Shawnteanna Tillman poured in 28 points to lead the 14th-ranked Coker women's basketball team to a 65–51 road victory at Newberry inside Eleazer Arena on Wednesday evening.
The Cobras, who have now won three straight, held Newberry to just 20.0 percent shooting from the floor and converted 15 Wolves turnovers into 22 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Shawnteanna Tillman's three-pointer with less than a minute remaining in the opening quarter gave Coker its first lead of the game, as the Cobras carried a 15–11 advantage into the second quarter.
Coker trailed 18–17 midway through the second quarter before rattling off a 12–0 run to seize control. The Cobras held Newberry to just two points over the final five minutes of the half and took a 29–20 lead into the break.
Coker continued to pull away in the third quarter, extending its run to 22–5 over the first five minutes. The Cobras led 39–22 midway through the period and closed the quarter with a 49–31 advantage.
Newberry cut the deficit to as few as 12 points in the fourth quarter, but Coker held off the Wolves down the stretch to secure the season sweep.
