Legagneur Lifts Coker to Come-From-Behind Victory
Coker overcame a 13-point deficit to secure the victory and remain perfect in South Atlantic Conference play.
ANDERSON, S.C. – Janay Legagneur scored on back-to-back layups in the final minute to lift the ninth-ranked Coker women's basketball team to a thrilling 64–61 come-from-behind victory over Anderson on Wednesday night inside the Abney Athletic Center.
Trailing by one with 1:21 remaining, Legagneur put the Cobras ahead 62–61 before adding another layup a minute later to give Coker its largest lead of the game and seal the win. The graduate student finished with a career-high 15 points, while redshirt freshman Yasmine Cook led all scorers with a career-best 20 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Shawnteanna Tillman opened the scoring with a three-pointer, but Anderson responded with nine straight points to take a 9–3 lead. A three-point play by Janay Legagneur later in the first quarter pulled Coker even at 17–17; however, the Trojans closed the period on a 7–0 run to take a 24–17 advantage.
Anderson stretched its lead to 13 points with under a minute remaining in the first half and carried a 38–29 edge into the break.
Coker outscored Anderson 13–12 in the third quarter and continued to chip away at the deficit in the fourth.
The Cobras claimed their first lead since the opening moments when Legagneur finished a layup to make it 58–57 with 3:16 remaining. Four more lead changes followed before Legagneur's layup with 1:21 left gave Coker the lead for good.
