Tillman and Cook Lead Cobras Past Catawba
The victory moved the Cobras to a perfect 5-0 in the South Atlantic Conference in the final league contest of the 2025 calendar year.
SALISBURY, N.C. - Senior guard Shawnteanna Tillman scored 25 points and redshirt sophomore Yasmine Cook posted 16 points to lead the eight-ranked Coker women's basketball team to a 71-55 win at Catawba on Wednesday evening inside Goodman Arena.
The victory moved the Cobras to a perfect 5-0 in the South Atlantic Conference in the final league contest of the 2025 calendar year.

Kamari Thompson grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds to move her career total to 789 for her career to move her into fourth-place on Coker's career rebounding list.

Yasmine Cook reached double figures in scoring for the fifth time this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Coker opened the scoring on a layup by Kamari Thompson, but Catawba briefly answered to take a 5–4 edge. A layup from Yasmine Cook quickly put the Cobras back in front, and Coker maintained control the rest of the way. The Cobras held a 21–15 advantage at the end of the opening quarter.
Coker continued to dictate the pace in the second quarter, closing the half on a 6–0 run to take a 35–24 lead into the break. The Cobras extended that momentum into the third quarter, building a 51–36 cushion heading into the final period.
After pushing the lead to a game-high 19 points late in the third quarter, Coker saw Catawba trim the deficit to eight with under a minute remaining. The Cobras responded decisively, closing the game on an 8–0 run to secure the victory.
