Coker Picks Up Second Win in as Many Days
Tillman's 27 leads Coker to a 76-60 victory at UNC Pembroke in the second and final game of the Conference Challenge on Saturday afternoon.
PEMBROKE, N.C. - The Coker women's basketball team cruised to a 76-60 victory at UNC Pembroke in the second and final game of the Conference Challenge on Saturday afternoon inside the Jones Center.
Once again, senior guard Shawnteanna Tillman paced the Cobras with 27 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Fellow senior guard Kristynn Knight added 13 points, while both Janay Legagneur and Kamari Thompson cleared the boards with 11 rebounds each.

HOW IT HAPPENED
UNC Pembroke scored the first point of the game on the free throw, but Coker Kristynn Knight's lay-up seconds later gave the Cobras a 2-1 lead, one they wouldn't surrender for the remainder of the game.
Coker led 19-11 at the end of the opening quarter and took a 34-25 lead into the locker room at the half.
Three-pointers from Shawnteanna Tillman and Ja'Kea Brunson to open the third quarter built upon Coker's lead and the Cobras led 58-42 at the end of the third quarter.

Coker will welcome Barton to the DeLoach Center for the home opener on Wednesday the 19th. The success of the 2024-25 team will be recognized prior to the game with a presentation of the championship rings. The game can be viewed live on Flo Sports.
