Mount Olive, NC - The Coker University Baseball Team fell to the Mount Olive Trojans on Tuesday night (March 28).
The Trojans went up early in thegame, scoring quickly in the top of the first inning with Patierno getting home safely. Mount Olive took their lead up to 7-0 throughout the game and despite strong offesive attempts by Coker, the Cobras were unable to score. Of the 30 at bats, the Cobras claimed four hits and one double (hit by Caleb McCants). McCants picked up two out of the four hits while Jackson Williams and Adam Wilkerson followed up with one each.
Colin Breland, Zack Hinson, and Noah Emig all pitched for Coker throughout the game. Colin Breland faced 24 batters and threw 53 strikes out of 94 pitches. He also registered three strike-outs. Zack Hinson faced eight batters and threw 15 strikes out of 25 pitches. Noah Emig faced six batters and threw 11 strikes out of 21 pitches.
