Baseball wins the Series to Start Conference Play
Coker takes the series at home.
Hartsville, SC. – The Coker Cobras take home 2 out of 3 games. Coker took on Limestone in a South Atlantic Conference series where the Cobras looked to start conference play strong. Coker put on some great performances as the team combined for 17 runs over the series.
Game-1 W (10-7)
Nick Leonard started it off for Coker. At the bottom of the inning, Leonard singled into the outfield scoring Cameron Ferrell who put himself in a scoring position earlier in the inning. Coker did the most damage at the bottom of the third where they opened up the lead. The team had a combined five RBI's in the inning with Ashby Vining, Eli Hopkins, and Donavan Frayer all collecting RBI's during the inning.
Vining went on to collect another RBI smacking a double into center field scoring Leonard. Hopkins collected his third RBI of the game by hitting a single into the outfield and scoring Vining. The Bullpen combined for eight strikeouts.
Game2- L (7-3)
Game two started off a little slow with both teams not able to produce a run until the third when Coker opened up the bottom of the inning with Kody Hanna hitting a single into the outfield grabbing himself two RBI's scoring Ferrell and frayer. Vining went on to score the last run for the team hitting another single and scoring Hannah. The Cobras went on to lose the second game (7-3).

The Cobras will play again on Wednesday against Lenoir-Rhyne.
