Cobras Sweep E&H on Senior Night
With the win, Coker secured the No. 8 seed in the SAC Tournament
HARTSVILLE, S.C. - Coker volleyball sent its senior class out in style on Friday night with a straight sets sweep over visiting Emory & Henry inside the DeLoach Center. The Cobras earned their second straight win, 25-16, 25-22 and 25-15.
With the win, the Cobras have secured a spot in the South Atlantic Conference Tournament as the No. 8 seed. It marks the first appearance for Coker since the 2017 season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1: Emory & Henry opened the match on a 3-0 run before Coker answered by taking five of the next six points. The set featured six ties before the Cobras seized control, closing on a dominant 10-2 run to earn a 25-16 victory.
Set 2: E&H once again grabbed the early momentum with a 5-0 start and held the lead deep into the set until Coker rallied to even things at 20-20. The Cobras then strung together four straight points—highlighted by a pair of kills from Pelin Aksoy—to take the set and a 2-0 match lead.
Set 3: Coker controlled the third set from the outset, using an early 8-0 run to build an 11-4 advantage. E&H fought back to pull within three, but the Cobras responded with a 6-0 burst to regain command. Coker closed out the match by scoring three of the final four points, with all three seniors—London Peagler, Hazar Kayan, and McKay Kasper—playing a role in the finishing sequence.

Coker, the No. 8 seed in the SAC Tournament, will travel to top-seeded Wingate on Tuesday for the opening round. The match will begin at 7 PM inside Cuddy Arena and can be viewed on FloSports.
