HOW IT HAPPENED:
Set 1: Coker grabbed its first lead at 4-3 on a kill from McKay Kasper that capped a 3-0 run. The Cobras stretched the margin to 22-15 after a 6-2 spurt, but LMU stormed back with seven straight points to even the score at 22. Coker responded, closing the set with a kill and back-to-back service aces from Alyssa Carey to take the opener.
Set 2: The Cobras carried their momentum into the second set, jumping ahead 10-6 and later building a 13-8 cushion. LMU answered with a decisive 10-1 run to surge ahead 23-18. Coker rallied right back with a 5-0 spurt to tie it at 23-all, but the Railsplitters held on by winning three of the final four points to even the match at a set apiece.
Set 3: Coker led early, 6-3, before LMU reeled off five straight points as part of a 7-3 run to move in front 12-9. The Cobras responded with four unanswered points to regain the lead, though LMU later pulled ahead 20-17. Undeterred, Coker closed strong, scoring eight of the last 11 points to secure the pivotal set.
Set 4: Riding the momentum, the Cobras opened with a quick 4-0 burst before LMU rallied to take an 8-5 edge. The teams traded points until the score reached 16-16, when Coker seized control. The Cobras finished with nine of the final 11 points, and Kasper's kill sealed the victory at 25.
