Lazare Named to USTFCCA Southeast All-Region Team
NEW ORLEANS, LA - Coker University senior track and field athlete Calene Lazare has been named to the 2022 NCAA Division II Southeast All-Region Team, announced today (Mar. 9) by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Lazare was named All-Region in both the 60m and 200m.
NEW ORLEANS, LA - Coker University senior track and field athlete Calene Lazare has been named to the 2022 NCAA Division II Southeast All-Region Team, announced today (Mar. 9) by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Lazare was named All-Region in both the 60m and 200m.
Lazare broke the school and meet records in both the 60m (7.50) and 200m (24.68) at the South Atlantic Conference Indoor Championships. She was also the conference champion in both events and her times were fast enough to qualify for the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field National Championships. Lazare was also named SAC AstroTurf Indoor Track Athlete of the Week (Feb. 22) for the second time in her career.
The NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships are scheduled to take place at Pittsburg State in Pittsburg, Kansas on March 11-12. Coverage can be found at www.cokercobras.com.
