Lazare Named SAC AstroTurf Indoor Track Athlete of the Week

Rock Hill, S.C. - Coker University senior Calene Lazare has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, announced by the league today (Tuesday, Feb. 22). 

Lazare tied the Coker school record in the 60 meter dash at the JDL DMR Invitational this past Saturday (Feb. 19) with a time of 7.68. This mark was good enough for a NCAA provisional mark for qualification to nationals. Lazare also earned a provisional mark in the 200 meter dash with her time of 25.11. 

This is Lazare's second career Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honor. The Newton, Mass. native is a double major in biology and psychology.
