Coker Vs. Lander Ends in Heartbreak 4-3

Greenwood, S.C.: Following their big 7-0 Win at Columbia College. The Cobras went on the road to face off against a tough Lander University squad. The Bearcats took the win with a final score of 4-3.

Top Performances:

• Doubles

  • 2nd Doubles was Salomé Sierra and Carolina Myers. The pair played a close-fought set but lost in a tie breaker 9-7.

• Singles

  • Noelle D'Angelilo played 3rd singles against the Bearcats. D'Angelillo played a close first set, just edging out her opponent 7-6. In her second set, D'Andelilo stepped up her game, winning 6-2. 

  • Caroline Myers was penciled in at the 4th singles spot. Myers had a back-and-forth match that went all the way to 3 sets. Myers took the win, going 6-4, 2-6, 6-2.

  • Andreia Semeano slotted in at 5th singles for the Cobras. Semeano went to 3 sets after losing the first 4-6. The second set saw a close battle, but Semeano took the set 7-5. In the third set, Semeano brought home the Cobras 3rd point of the afternoon with a 6-4 win.

The Cobras will be at Home tomorrow against Georgia State and College. This match is scheduled to start at Noon.
