Hartsville, SC - As released today, your Coker Women's Tennis team is the tenth-best team in the DII Southeast Regional!
The Cobras fell to the Catawba Indians in their SAC semifinal matchup by a score of 4-2 and hope to continue their season in the national tournament. The Cobras are also ranked 44th nationally according to the ITA and have a strong case to qualify for the school's first-ever national tournament bid.
Catawba, the team that the Cobras fell to, is the top team in the region with a 23-0 record this season. The other team from the SAC in the top ten is Wingate, who slots in at number five. Another familiar foe for the Cobras is Augusta, whom they fell to 4-3 in a heartbreaking match that could've strengthened their case to be firmly in the field of eight. They are slotted in as the ninth-best team.
