How It Happened
The doubles point saw courts two and three drop their matches to lose the doubles point and head down 1-0 going into singles play. Bellegy and Banning were performing well on court one, up a break at 5-3, before the point was called due to clinch.
The Cobras were able to take courts two and six in singles play to steal them from the Cougars on their home courts. Hernandez-Sanchez fell in the first set but performed extremely well through the home stretch, taking the second and third sets in dominant fashion. Myers, in her typical fashion, went to a tiebreak in set two and a match tiebreak to decide it, winning 10-3 in said tiebreak.
