Coker Cruises to a 40-7 Win Over Allen
Mason Moody, Frank Bianco, Benjamin Newton, and Hunter Miller all put 6 points on the board for the Cobras
Hartsville, S.C.: The Cobras started the new year with a win over conference rivals Allen University. The Coker won with a commanding score of 40-7.

Performances:
- Mason Moody started the Cobras off hot, winning by Fall in the first period in 2:35, giving the Cobras a 6-0 lead.
- Weston Bare lined up next for the Cobras in a close-fought match, winning 4-1 in sudden victory, giving the Cobras a 9-0 lead.
- Frank Bianco was called up for the 141 weight class, where he won by Fall in 2:38, giving the Cobras a 15-0 lead.
- Brendan Soloman suited up for the 149 weight class. Soloman fell just short in the end, losing by decision 8-9.
- Zachary Russo had a tight match in 157, scoring the winning point in the dying moments of the third period to take the win by decision 2-1.
- In the 165 lb weight class, Matthew Williams had an impressive showing with a 16-0 win by Technical Fall, giving the Cobras a 23-3 lead over the Wasps.
- Obed Don lost by Major Decision 19-4 in the 174lb weight class.
- In the 184 lb match-up, Benjamin Newton grabbed all 6 points, winning by fall in 2:58.
- Brody Switzer took to the mat in the 197 lb weight class, where he won by technical fall and a comfortable score of 19-4 in 4:00.
- To see out the dual, Hunter Miller stepped up in the heavyweight class to win by fall in the 3rd period (5:46) to give the Cobras their first win of 2026 with a final score of 40-7.

Coker will be on the road next time as they head up to Belmont Abbey on January 8th. This dual will start at 7:00 PM and will be streamed on the Conference Carolinas Network.
