Coker's Dodge Named Astroturf SAC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College women's lacrosse player Cassie Dodge has been named the Astroturf South Atlantic Conference Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for games played Feb. 15-21, the league office announced today.

Dodge, a freshman goalie from Virginia Beach, Va., led the Cobras to a season opening 14-11 win over Shorter on Feb. 20.  In her collegiate debut, Dodge made eight saves and had a 42.1 save percentage.

Dodge is the daughter of Peggy and Fred Dodge and Nicole and Charles Linton. She is currently an undecided major.
