Coker Places 8th in SAC Tournament

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Coker University women's golf team wrapped up its season on Monday afternoon with an eighth-place finish at the South Atlantic Conference Tournament held at the Preserve at Verdae.

Junior Gisele Morna paced the Cobras with a 31st-place finish. She also carded Coker's top round of the tournament, firing a six-over-par 78 in the second round on Sunday.

The two-day, three-round event began on Sunday and will conclude on Tuesday, when the top four teams—Wingate, Lincoln Memorial, Anderson and Catawba—advance to match play to determine the conference champion.

Coker finished ahead of Newberry, UVA Wise and Mars Hill in the final standings.
