Coker Remains in Seventh After Day Two of SAC Championship
The Coker women's golf team remains in seventh place after day two of play at the 2015 SAC Women's Golf Championship.
SEVIERVILLE, TENN. – The Coker women's golf team carded a team score of 329 on day two of the South Atlantic Conference Women's Golf Championship and is currently in seventh place. The Cobras have shot a total of 668 after 36-holes of play at the River Course at the Sevierville Golf Club.
Taylor Demby continues to lead the way for the Cobras. She shot a seven-over par 79 on day two and is in a tie for 18th place with a 36-hole total of 162. Angela Luna is just a stroke behind Demby with a two-day total of 163. She is tied for 22nd place after carding an 81 during the second round. Mallory Thompkins had a solid day on the course. The senior fired an eight-over par 80 and is tied for 35th with a two-day total of 169. Taylor Gaskins and Tensley Clowser rounded out the field for the Cobras with scores of 89 and 94, respectively during the second round. Gaskins' two-day total is 177, while Clowser has carded a 180.
Wingate University moved into the top spot on the leader board with a two-day team score of 622. They are just five shots ahead of Newberry at 627. Grace Glaze of Queens University of Charlotte is the individual leader at 150 (+6).
Coker will tee-off for the third and final round of play at the SAC Championship at 9:20 a.m. on hole 10 of the River Course at the Sevierville Golf Club.
