Coker Women Open Play at Patsy Rendleman Invitational
The Cobra women’s golf team opened play at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational with an 11th place finish in the opening round on Monday.
SALISBURY, N.C. – The Cobra women's golf team opened play at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational with an 11th place finish in the opening round on Monday. Coker carded a team score of 345 (+57), while Newberry College shot 301 (+13) to take the lead with Carson Newman College taking second with a score of 307 (+19) and Tusculum coming in third at 313 (+25).
Leading the Cobras individually was Krista Thorpe (Bracebridge, Ontario) with a 11-over-par 83, while Caroline Dula (Salisbury, N.C.) carded an 85 (+13). Jessi McKenzie (McBee, S.C.) shot an 88 (+16) and Sara Allen (Fort Mill, S.C.) and Mallory Thompkins (Georgetown, S.C.) brought in scores of 89 (+17) and 90 (+18) respectively.
The Cobras will return to the course for the final round of play at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational on Tuesday at the 5,998-yard, par-72 Country Club of Salisbury.
