Cobras Sprint to Strong Showing at Davidson Meet
DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Coker men's track & field team turned in another strong performance this past weekend at the Davidson meet, highlighted by dominant sprint efforts and a relay victory.
The Cobras were led by their sprinters, who set the tone early despite cold conditions throughout the day.
Coker captured a first-place finish in the 4x100-meter relay, showcasing speed and execution. In the 200-meter dash, the Cobras placed three athletes in the top nine, led by Keaten Pegues (21.83), Donovan Jones (21.85), and Juelz Mickles (21.86).
The success carried into the longer relays, where the 4x400-meter team posted a season-best time of 3:23, continuing to build momentum heading into the next stretch of the season.
In the field events,Jaden Wright recorded a personal record in the shot put (10.42 meters) to round out a strong day for the Cobras.
