Ismael Caria Named SAC Defensive Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, SC: Ismael Caria has been named SAC Defensive Player of the Week after his shutout against Carson-Newman this past Saturday.

Caria, a Junior from Monagas, Venezuela, was a brick wall during his time in net against the Eagles, registering 5 saves during his time between the sticks. His most notable save of the game came in the 14th minute. Caria faced a shot from the right winger of Carson-Newman that would have found the top corner of the net if it wasn't for a massive diving save to parry to ball out of harm's way.
