High School: Bowers spent his prep career at Andrew Jackson High School. He had quite the career with them, being named a 4x Team MVP and 4x Golden Boot winner. He also earned All-Region honors in all four years, earning All-State honors in two of those four years. He was also a member of last year's squad that finished as the State Runner-Up.
