HARTSVILLE, SC - Coker field hockey fell to seventh-ranked Lander at the Coker Athletic Field on Saturday afternoon. The Bearcats defeated the Cobras 4-0 in a South Atlantic Conference contest.
Coker recognized lone senior Lizzy Hedgecock prior to the game. Hedgecock, from Northport, N.Y., has played in 31 games for the Cobras over the past two seasons and the defender has recorded five defensive saves during her career with Coker.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Lander didn't waste much time cracking the scoring column. The Bearcats scored the first goal of the game just 1:47 into the opening quarter.

The Bearcats added to the lead just over two minutes later to take a 2-0 into the second quarter.

Lander tacked on a second quarter goal at the 18:53 mark and then scored at the 55:21 mark of the fourth quarter.
