NEWBERRY, S.C. – The Coker Cobras dropped the opening game of their South Atlantic Conference series against the Newberry Wolves, 8-2, on Friday (Apr. 17) night.
Forrest Arnold was tagged with the loss. He allowed six runs on six hits with three strikeouts in six innings of work.
Michael Orlowski and Bryson Conner led the way for the Cobras at the plate. Orlowski went 3-for-5 with a run scored, while Conner was 2-for-5 with a double. Jack Leech and Clint Allen drove in a run each as well.
Coker will complete its three-game series on Saturday (Apr. 18) with a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. at Newberry.
