Bio
During her second season leading the Cobras, Loo guided Coker to a 7-2 overall record and a return trip to the Conference Carolinas semifinals. Under her leadership, Olivia Sison earned Conference Carolinas Specialist of the Year honors, while Olivia Sison, Anna Kate Barrier, Chloe Hull, and Anaya Eichelberger garnered All-Conference recognition. Coker also captured Conference Carolinas individual event championships in Open Toss and Duo Tumbling, highlighted by the performances of Olivia Sison, Micah Cunningham, Jada Dalton, Autumn Butler, Kynedi Bratton, and Anna Kate Barrier. Additionally, the duo of Sison and Barrier qualified for the 2026 NCATA National Championships in Duo Tumbling, further elevating the program on the national stage.
In her first season as the Head Coach, Loo saw her team be preseason ranked 3rd before earning a second place finish in the Conference Carolinas standings. She coached four players who were named All-Conference in Kaylin Francavilla (First Team), Anaya Eichelberger (First Team), Kayla Young (First Team), and Amber Garcia (Second Team). The Cobras were ranked as high as 14th nationally in the polls, and registered a second place finish at the Conference Carolinas Tournament. During the regular season, Loo coached Olivia Sison - Specialist Of The Week (2/11), Hanna Helms - Specialist Of The Week (2/18), and Kaylin Francavilla - Player Of The Week (3/25) to weekly awards. Off the mats, Alyssa saw Alexa Baggett, Anna Kate Barrier, Lelia Brozowski, Hollyn Duhaime, Amber Garcia, Olivia Hauer, Ella Sansoucy, and Kayla Young all be named to the NCATA Academic Honor Roll.
Alyssa Loo was named Coker University's Acrobatics and Tumbling new head coach, announced on May 11th of 2024 by Vice President of Athletics and Athletic Facilities, Dr. Lynn Griffin. Loo will replace former head coach Brianna D'Angelo. Loo spent two years as the Graduate Assistant Coach here at Coker underneath D'Angelo and saw the Cobras be nationally raked all season long. In her second year, the Cobras qualified for Nationals in the Synchronized Pyramid event.
Before Coker: She graduated from Converse University in 2022 with a degree in Business Administration. While at Converse, she was a 2022 NCATA All-American, the 2022 Conference Carolinas Athlete of the Year, and was named Athlete of the Week three times. Loo was a two-time selection to the Conference Carolinas All-Conference First Team and she qualified for the NCATA National Championships twice while at Converse.
