Coker Defeats Belmont Abbey in Acrobatics & Tumbling Meet
HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker Acrobatics & Tumbling team earned a strong victory over Belmont Abbey on Thursday evening, showcasing improvement across multiple events and setting several program and season milestones along the way.
The Cobras put together a consistent performance throughout the meet, finishing with a 253.975–244.065 win over Belmont Abbey.
Coker opened the meet in the compulsory event with solid performances across the heats before continuing to build momentum in acro, pyramid, toss, and tumbling. The Cobras delivered strong scores in several events and closed out the meet with a solid team event performance to secure the victory.
Several Cobras stood out during the meet with impressive individual performances.
Anna Kate Barrier (#5) delivered a standout performance, setting a program record in Tumbling Heat 5. Barrier also recorded season-high scores in Compulsory Heat 4, Toss Heat 2, and Tumbling Heat 1, contributing significantly to the Cobras' overall success.
Tamara Steward (#16) also made her mark in the tumbling event, setting a program record in Tumbling Heat 4. She added season-high scores in Acro Heat 1 and Compulsory Heat 4, helping the Cobras maintain momentum throughout the meet.
Olivia Sison (#8) continued to shine with season-high scores in Compulsory Heat 4, Toss Heat 2, Toss Heat 3, and Tumbling Heat 1, playing a key role in multiple events.
Anaya Eichelberger (#2) recorded a season-high score in Acro Heat 1 and earned the highest score of the meet as a midbase in Pyramid Heat 3, highlighting another strong performance for the Cobras.
Coker's depth across events and standout individual performances helped the team secure the win and continue building confidence as the season progresses.
