Acrobatics and Tumbling Finishes Second in Tri-meet
GAFFNEY, S.C. - The Coker University acrobatics and tumbling team finished second in their second tri-meet of the season. Limestone took first place and Emmanuel (Ga.) took third. The Cobras posted a score of 240.285.
GAFFNEY, S.C. - The Coker University acrobatics and tumbling team finished second in their second tri-meet of the season. Limestone took first place and Emmanuel (Ga.) took third. The Cobras posted a score of 240.285.
Coker kicked off the meet by posting scores of 33.75 in the compulsory event and a 26.00 in the acro heats. The Cobras once again performed well in the pyramid heats, as they earned 29.00 out of a possible 29.80 to run their score to 88.75 at the half.
The Cobras came out of the halftime break by posting a score of 25.55 in the three toss heats and followed that up with a score of 47.775 through the six heats of tumbling. Coker wrapped up the tri-meet with a 78.21 in the team event to give them the final score of 240.285. Limestone was victorious, as they put up a total score of 261.240. Emmanuel (Ga.) posted a total score of 207.810.
Coker will return to the tumbling mats on Sunday (April 3), when they host King University for a white out meet scheduled for 2pm. Live video and statistics will be available at www.cokercobras.com.
