Wrestling

  • This week’s matches:
    • None

    • NCAA Division II Midwest Super Regional
  • Senior Austin Akins punched his ticket to the 2016 NCAA Division II Wrestling National Championship with a fourth place finish in the 285-pound weight class at the NCAA Division II Midwest Super Regional. Also placing for the Cobras was Charlie Huff (5th – 125-lb), Derrick Nelson (5th – 133-lb), Rashad Cunningham (6th – 157-lb) and Derrick Booth (6th – 174-lb). Akins will travel to Sioux Falls, S.D. for the National Championship March 11-12.  

Women’s Basketball

  • This week’s games:
    • None
  • Last week’s games:
    • Newberry (L) – 67-60
    • Carson-Newman (L) – 76-69
  • The Coker women’s basketball season came to an end last week. The Cobras won nine games under first-year head coach Shannon Johnson, including eight in South Atlantic Conference play.

Men’s Basketball

  • This week’s games:
    • None
  • Last week’s games:
    • Newberry (L) – 98-69
    • Carson-Newman (L) – 78-71
  • The Cobra men’s basketball season came to an end last week. The Cobras won nine games, including five in South Atlantic Conference play.

Men’s Volleyball

  • This week’s games:
    • Friday at 5:00 p.m. (H) – Lees-McRae – Coker Invitational Tournament
    • Friday at 7:00 p.m. (H) – Erskine – Coker Invitational Tournament
    • Saturday at 11:00 a.m. (H) – Alderson-Broaddus – Coker Invitational Tournament
    • Saturday at 3:00 p.m. (H) – Erskine – Coker Invitational Tournament
  • Last week’s games:
    • Belmont Abbey (W) – 3-2 (19-25, 25-20, 28-26, 14-25, 17-15)
    • North Greenville (W) – 3-1 (23-25, 27-25, 26-24, 25-16)
  • Last week, the Cobras went 2-0 with wins over Belmont Abbey and North Greenville. This week they welcome Lees-McRae, Erskine and Alderson-Broaddus to Hartsville for the Coker Invitational Tournament.

Baseball

  • This week’s games:
    • Friday at 6:00 p.m. (A) – Anderson
    • Saturday at 1:00 p.m. (A) – Anderson (DH)
  • Last week’s games:
    • Brevard – 6-2 (W), 10-8 (L), 16-2 (W)
  • The Cobra baseball team took two of three from Brevard in their first SAC series of the season last week. This week they will hit the road once again, this time to Anderson for another three-game SAC series.

Men’s and Women’s Tennis

  • This week’s matches:
    • Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. (A) – Georgia College
    • Saturday at 2:00 p.m. (H) – Lenoir-Rhyne
  • Last week’s matches:
    • Francis Marion – Women – 8-1 (L), Men – 8-1 (L)
  • The Coker men’s and women’s tennis teams will hit the road to Georgia College on Wednesday, and then return home to take on Lenoir-Rhyne in a pair of SAC matches on Saturday.  

Softball

  • This week’s games:
    • Saturday at 3:00 p.m. (A) – North Georgia – Captain D’s Surf & Turf Classic
    • Saturday at 5:30 p.m. (A) – UVA Wise – Captain D’s Surf & Turf Classic
    • Sunday at 11:00 a.m. (A) – UVA Wise – Captain D’s Surf & Turf Classic
    • Sunday at 3:00 p.m. (A) – North Georgia - – Captain D’s Surf & Turf Classic
  • Last week’s games:
    • West Virginia State – 2-0 (L)
    • Charleston – 6-4 (L)
    • King – 6-5 (W) – 8 innings
    • Lees-McRae – 5-4 (L)
  • The Cobra softball team picked up a 6-5 extra innings win over King last week during the Coker Spring Softball Tournament. This week the Cobras will hit the road to the University of North Georgia for the Captain D’s Surf & Turf Classic.

Men's Lacrosse

  • This week’s games:
    • Monday at 2:00 p.m. (H) – Lynn
    • Saturday at 3:00 p.m. (A) – Lenoir-Rhyne
  • Last week’s games:
    • No. 13 Pfeiffer (L) – 12-10
  • The Coker men's lacrosse team will be back in action on Monday at home against Lynn. They will then hit the road to Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday for their first SAC contest of the season.

Men’s and Women’s Track & Field

  • This week’s meets:
    • Friday at 12:00 p.m. (A) – UNCP Braves Classic
  • Last week’s meets:
    • None
  • This week the Cobra men’s and women’s track & field teams travel to UNC Pembroke for the Braves Classic.

Women's Lacrosse

  • This week’s games:
    • Sunday at 1:00 p.m. (A) – Lenoir-Rhyne
  • Last week’s games:
    • None
  • The Coker women's lacrosse team hits the road to Lenoir-Rhyne for its first SAC game of the season on Sunday.  

Men’s Golf

  • This week’s tournaments:
    • None
  • Last week’s tournaments:
    • Pirate Invitational – 6 of 9
  • The Cobra men’s golf team picked up a sixth place finish at last week’s Pirate Invitational. Individually, Will Bundy took home third place honors.  

Women’s Golf

  • This week’s tournaments:
    • Monday-Tuesday at Lady Pirate Invitational at Savannah, Ga.   
  • Last week’s tournaments:
    • Converse Spring Invitational – 11 of 16
  • The Cobra women’s golf team picked up an 11th place finish at last week’s Converse Spring Invitational. This week the Cobras will travel to Savannah, Ga. for the Lady Pirate Invitational.
