Homecoming 2016

Coker’s DeLoach Center is a great reason to come to Homecoming this year—but it’s not the only one! Join us February 4-6 for activities throughout the weekend. We will celebrate old friends and new memories. In addition to the great athletic events, there will tons of other activities to take part in as well. Wrestling

  • This week’s matches:
    • Thursday at 7:00 p.m. (H) – UNC Pembroke – Senior Night
  • Last week’s matches:
    • King (W) – 37-6
    • Ashland (W) – 21-19
    • Emmanuel (W) – 33-15
    • Kutztown (W) – 27-19
  • The Cobras had an outstanding showing last week at the Super Region 2 Duals where they went undefeated (4-0). Included in the four wins were victories over perennial wrestling powers Ashland (21-19) and Kutztown (27-19). This week the Cobras will welcome the Braves of UNC Pembroke to town for an ECAC match on Thursday. This will be Coker’s final home match of the season.

Women’s Basketball

  • This week’s games:
    • Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. (A) – Queens
    • Saturday at 2:00 p.m. (H) – #15 Anderson - Homecoming
  • Last week’s games:
    • Catawba (L) – 72-5
    • Brevard (W) – 83-79
  • The Coker women went 1-1 last week with an 83-79 win over Brevard. This week the Cobras will hit the road to Queens on Wednesday and then return to the friendly confines of the DeLoach Center on Saturday for their 2016 Homecoming game against No. 15 Anderson.

Men’s Basketball

  • This week’s games:
    • Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. (A) – #15 Queens
    • Saturday at 4:00 p.m. (H) – Anderson – Homecoming
  • Last week’s games:
    • Catawba (L) – 62-55
    • Brevard (L) – 74-65
  • Coker will return to action this week for a pair of South Atlantic Conference games. The Cobras will travel to No. 15 Queens on Wednesday and then return home to take on Anderson in their 2016 Homecoming game.

Men’s Volleyball

  • This week’s games:
    • Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. (H) – Bluefield
  • Last week’s games:
    • St. Andrews (W) – 3-0 (25-10, 25-13, 25-9)
    • Limestone (L) – 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-21)
  • The Coker men went 1-1 last week with a 3-0 sweep of St. Andrews. This week the Cobras will return home for a match against Bluefield on Wednesday evening.  

Men’s & Women’s Track & Field

  • This week’s meets:
    • None
  • Last week’s meets:
    • Camel City Invitational
  • The Coker men’s and women’s track & field teams had another great showing during the Camel City Invitational indoor meet. The women had three top-20 finishes, while the men’s team had a pair of top-20 finishes.  The Cobras will now take a break until the end of February.

Baseball

  • This week’s games:
    • Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. (H) – St. Andrews
    • Saturday at 12:00 p.m. (H) – Chowan (DH) – Homecoming
    • Sunday at 12:00 p.m. (H) – Chowan – Homecoming
  • Last week’s games:
    • Paine – 5-4 (L) – 8 innings, 9-2 (W)
  • The Cobra baseball team went 1-1 last week with a 9-2 win over Paine. This week they play host to St. Andrews in their 2016 home opener on Tuesday. Then on Saturday and Sunday the Cobras will welcome Chowan to town for a three-game series.

Men’s and Women’s Tennis

  • This week’s matches:
    • Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. (A) – Augusta
    • Sunday at 1:00 p.m. (A) – USC Aiken
  • Last week’s matches:
    • Lander – Women – 7-2 (L), Men – 9-0 (L)
  • This week the Coker tennis teams hit the road for a pair of non-conference tennis matches at Augusta on Tuesday and at USC Aiken on Sunday.

Softball

  • This week’s games:
    • Saturday at 12:00 p.m. (H) – St. Andrews (DH) – Homecoming
    • Sunday at 1:00 p.m. (H) – Converse (DH) – Homecoming
  • Last week’s games:
    • None
  • The Cobra softball team opens the 2016 season on Saturday at home against St. Andrews. They will then take on Converse in another home doubleheader on Sunday.
