Coker's Student-Athletes Shine Again in Community Service
Cobra teams once again ranked among the nation’s best in Division II in community engagement, according to Helper Helper
HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Community impact goes far beyond competition for Coker University student-athletes. Through leadership, volunteerism, and service initiatives across the community, Cobra teams once again ranked among the nation's best in Division II in community engagement, according to Helper Helper.
The rankings are based on average service hours per participating student-athlete and recognize programs that build a strong culture of giving back throughout the year.
Coker women's lacrosse finished as the top women's program in all of Division II for community service, while women's golf ranked first nationally among all Division II women's golf programs.
The Cobras also earned national Top 10 finishes in field hockey (2nd), women's tennis (2nd), women's basketball (5th), softball (5th), women's cross country/track & field (8th), and volleyball (9th).
On the men's side, Coker men's golf earned the top national spot among all Division II men's golf programs. The Cobras' baseball team, men's lacrosse, and men's soccer each placed third, while men's cross country/track & field finished fourth and men's tennis was sixth.
The South Atlantic Conference once again led all Division II conferences in community service, further highlighting the commitment to service and leadership across the league.
