Cobras Set Three School Records at Camel City Sprints
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The Coker University track & field program delivered a historic performance Friday at the Camel City Sprints, as three Cobras etched their names into the record books with school-record performances at the JDL Fast Track.
Men's 600 Meters
Freshman Jake Popkowski turned in a standout run in the men's 600 meters, posting a school-record time of 1:21.41. The performance marked a major milestone early in his collegiate career and highlighted Coker's continued growth in middle-distance events.
Women's 400 Meters
On the women's side, Patience Lisbon continued her strong indoor season with a school-record time of 57.44 in the 400 meters. Her performance not only secured a heat victory but also earned national recognition, ranking among the top Division II times this season.
Women's Sprint Event
Sydney Watson added to the Cobras' historic day with a school-record performance in her respective sprint event in the 200m with the time of 24.74, further cementing Coker's presence on the national stage and contributing to a meet that saw multiple records fall for the program.
With three school records set in a single meet, the Cobras showcased their depth, speed, and momentum as the indoor season continues.
