SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Coker women's soccer team fell to the Pirates of Armstrong Atlantic State University, Saturday (Sept. 8) afternoon 4-0.
Armstrong wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, with their first goal coming in the 8th minute of the game. The Pirates earned six corner kicks in the first half (9 total), one which led to their second goal. Coker found themselves trai ling 3-0 heading into the locker room.
The Cobra defense stepped up in the second half, only allowing one goal that came in the 58th minute. Meanwhile, the Coker offense put 66-percent of their shots on target, keeping Armstrong's defense busy.
The Cobras will host Clayton State in a home match starting at 4:30 on Tuesday, September 11.
