Danny Allen joined the Coker staff as the head men's and women's golf coach in September of 2013.

In his first season leading the men's golf team, Allen guided the Cobras to a phenomenal year. They finished in the top-10 in 9-of-10 tournaments that they participated in.  Their best tournament of the year came at the Richard Rendleman Invite, when they finished third of 18 teams with a two round score of 600.  They were also able to earn fourth at the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate, and capture fifth at the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate.

Josh Clay and Chris Fuga received All-SAC honors for the 13-14 season, with Clay earning a spot on the second team while Fuga was Honorable Mention.  

On the women's side, the Cobra women had a historic year under Allen's leadership. They finished in the top-15 in eight of their tournaments.  Their best performance of the year came in the South Atlantic Conference tournament, when they finished second with a three-round combined team score 582.  

Taylor Demby earned All-Conference honors for the second year in a row.

Allen became the leader of the Cobra golf programs after serving as assistant men's golf coach at the University of Pennsylvania for two years. Prior to that, he was an assistant coach for the men's and women's golf programs at California University of Pennsylvania. Allen has also been a teaching professional at Stratton Mountain Resort in Vermont this summer.

In addition, Allen was director of instruction at U.S. Golf Camps from 2011-12 and an assistant golf professional for Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Tampa, Fla., from 2007-2010.

As a player, Allen was a 2006 NCAA Division II National Championship participant while a member of the Eckerd College golf team and a 2006 U.S. Amateur participant. Allen has played professionally on the Hooters tour, New England tour and West Florida golf tour.

Allen holds a Bachelor of Arts in business administration/management from Eckerd College and a Master of Science in sports management/intercollegiate athletic administration from California University of Pennsylvania.
