VASS, N.C. – The Coker Cobra women’s golf team completed their first season of competition on Tuesday with a seventh place finish at the 2011 Conference Carolinas Women’s Golf Championship at the Woodlake Resort’s Maple Course in Vass, N.C.

The Cobras carded their best round of the three day tournament with a team score of 362 on Tuesday. Perennial conference power Belmont Abbey placed first in the tournament with Queens University of Charlotte coming in second and Pfeiffer in third.

Krista Thorpe (Bracebridge, Ontario) earned a Top 20 finish with a third round 83, while Bobbi McKenzie (McBee, S.C.) shot a94. Natalie Falco (Stoughton, Mass.) came in with a 92 and Megan Tingen (Hartsville, S.C.) fired a 93.

Coker completes their first season on play with five Top 10 finishes, including a championship over ST. Andrews in a dual match on March 19.
