Cobras Rout Bulldogs, 79-66

WILSON, N.C. – Amber Lau (Mt. Wolf, Pa.), Jessica Cohen (Ladsen, S.C.) and Jasmine Alston (Sumter, S.C.) combined for 63 points, while leading the Cobras to a decisive 79-66 win over Barton College on Wednesday night in Conference Carolinas women's basketball action.

Lau was the team leader with 25 points, five rebounds and four assists, with Cohen close behind scoring 21 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Alston added another 17 points and five rebounds to the trio's efforts in the win.

As a team, the Cobras were lights out hitting 52.6 percent of their shots from the floor. They also played outstanding defense holding one of the best shooting teams in the conference to just 39.1 percent from the field. Coker also shut down the Bulldogs long-range attack, as Barton was 0-for-12 from three-point land.

The Cobras will be back in action on Saturday at home against conference rival Belmont Abbey. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
